N8-01. A fine early 20th century netsuke of a male Shi-Shi, holding a hollow ball, with a loose small ball inside. Excellent workmanship with great attention to the details of the animal. It is 2” tall x 1 ¾” wide, in top condition. A great addition to any collection.

N8-06.A very old netsuke, possible 18th century, of a monkey holding her baby. This one show wear from use, not just display. The inlays in the right eyes are missing for both monkeys and there is a small loss, probably the baby’s tail. Minimal damage for such an old piece. Prominent age lines give testimony to its age. 1 3/8” x 1 ½”. A real find for the avid collector

N8-13This is not a netsuke, but rather an Eskimo carving of a salmon from Mother of Pearl. The fish’s scales are entirely carved, with a hole in the middle for some sort of mounting. No apparent damage, and the natural outer surface of the shell is on the back.

N8-14.A signed, 20th Century erotic netsuke of a naked man, pleasuring himself. I will send photos to anyone interested, but have decided not to display it on the web site. It’s really quite well carved, with good details, if you are into that sort of thing. 1 5/8” tall
