 PRIVACY-
For your security, my client list is kept solely "In House," and
will never be sold or given to any other dealer or advertiser. When
receiving an offer from me, you will notice that no other names show in
the "Send To:" address box, since I mail to everybody under
"BCC" (Blind Carbon Copy).
PRICING-
Prices on all sales, including anything purchased from our Internet
listing shown on this site, include packaging, shipping (within the USA),
and insurance, unless otherwise noted. I can also arrange, if you
prefer, for large, and/or fragile items to be professionally packed and
shipped by a commercial packaging company, AT AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE.
PAYMENT-
I accept Money Orders, Bank Checks and PayPal credit card payment.
Personal checks are also O.K. but may delay shipping until they clear the
bank.
SHIPPING-
Everything offered for sale can be shipped within the USA. Books, and
ivory complying with the CITES trade agreement (fossil ivory and ivory
from non-endangered animals, such as hippo), can be shipped
internationally, but at additional cost. We package carefully but are not
responsible for items lost or damaged during shipping.
DESCRIPTIONS-
I will, to the best of my ability, identify the type of ivory, age, size,
and country of origin. Any carved ivory purchase, other than netsuke, will
include a certificate with this information, which is usually sufficient
to obtain insurance coverage.
SALES-
Purchases from our E-mail Sales are "First Come." Please contact
me as soon as possible to guarantee you get the ivory of your choice. Many
pieces get multiple requests. Items in any GENERAL
INVENTORY category may be purchased at any time.
IMPORTANT:
If you change your e-mail address and want to remain on my mailing list,
please notify me immediately. You can also send me names of anyone else
you think might be interested in ivories. You may want to put me (George@Ivoryhound.com)
in your address book for future reference.
SPECIAL
REQUESTS – If you
have something specific you are looking for, let us know, along with your
price range. We have been pretty successful in finding items on people’s
wish lists.
CONSIGNMENTS-
I sell mostly my own items, but will on occasion offer other people's
ivories on consignment. If you have something you wish to sell, contact
me. I may be able to help.
